Engineers design everything from dams and bridges to circuit boards. Engineering is the process of producing a technical product or system to meet a specific need. Engineers can be distinguished from other professions by their ability to solve complex problems and implement solutions in cost effective and practical ways. This ability to face a problem, work through various thoughts and abstract ideas and then translating them into reality is what is so exciting about engineering.
“Becoming an engineer allows you to use your creativity to impact the world around you in a fun, rewarding, and hands on career.”
The path to becoming a licensed engineer includes four main steps.
