Interior designers work closely with architects, engineers, engineers, and builders, to determine how interior spaces will function, look, and be furnished. Most interior designers use CAD software for the majority of their work but will sometimes start their work with sketches. Interior designers can specialize in certain types of buildings, rooms or architectural styles depending on their interests.
Interior design has changed over the years where most work in the past was done with drafting tables and paper to today use powerful software to create 2-D and 3-D renderings of their work.
Interior designers can also be known for certain types of work like sustainable design, universal design, kitchen and bath design, and lighting design. Each are has it’s own challenges and rewards.
